The Pain You Feel

Be more. Ground yourself in the feeling. A fork in the road.

Do you feel it?

Deep down in your core.

It holds you back.

Prevents you from being who you want to be.

Who you know you can be.

But in the same breath you could say it drives you forward.

That the discontentment you feel keeps you moving.

Keeps you focused.

Self loathing.

Hatred even.

How could you be so foolish to think you could be any more than you already are.

It’s confusing.

Unsettling.

But that pain you feel is there for a reason.

And it might never fully go away.

How you choose to deal with it is what truly matters.

You could go inward.

Self destruct.

Self sabotage.

Confirm what you already think about yourself.

Or you could let it be a driving force for something more.

Use it to ground you in this very moment.

And think about all the things you could do to alleviate yourself of this pain.

This weight.

You could build something that drives change.

Build relationships that make you feel whole.

Make an impact on something bigger than yourself.

I’m not saying it’s easy.

It’s not.

But people like you only have one of two options.

Become the person you know you can be.

The person you want to be.

Or fall into a life of quiet desperation.

Resentment.

The pain will deepen.

Become more pronounced as you age.

You’ll look back ashamed that you ever let yourself be drawn to the abyss.

Be more, because you can be.

Not everybody has the option.

Our Maiōrēs watch on.
