Trust Your Art Form

There’s no right way of doing it.
What you’re building is yours—no one else’s.
Who did you draw influence from?
Who shaped your path?
The people who inspire you are great, but what makes them great isn’t the same thing that makes you great.
Your greatness comes from something different.
There’s no one else on this planet (or even this entire universe) that’s exactly like you.
No one has exactly the same interests, beliefs, and perception of the world.
You are truly unique.
And allowing your Individuality to flow through what you’re making is the difference between someone good and someone great.
Who you are is a gift, not a curse.
But somewhere along the way, you were taught to suppress it, to fit in.
Society. Expectations. Unwritten rules.
They trained you to blend in, to follow a path, to be predictable.
But take a step back.
Think back to your childhood.
Who were you before the world told you who to be?
Were you fearless, creative, loud, unapologetic?
Or were you cautious, aware, always trying to fit the mold?
Did you dream big?
Did you believe in something greater?
Did you see yourself on an adventure, a hero’s journey?
Whoever you used to be still exists.
It never left.
But at some point, you silenced it.
You stopped dreaming.
You stopped believing.
One day, you gave up on yourself.
But you don’t have to stay there.
You can unlearn the limits placed on you.
You can step back into who you were always meant to be.
You just have to trust yourself.
Trust your artform.
Respect it.
It’s yours.
And have faith that, with time, it will take you where you need to go.
