Why does your fire burn?
Where does the energy fueling your pursuits come from?
From purpose?
Or from fear?
It’s important to understand the difference.
One is about curiosity, working toward an ideal.
The other is about survival, keeping your head above water.
One burns slowly, over a long period of time.
The other is a flash in the pan.
So let’s restate the question: Why does your fire burn?
Pause.
Fear is a powerful motivator.
Cortisol.
Adrenaline.
Anxiety.
Tolerance.
Suppression.
It burns bright, like it will last forever—but there’s a cost.
Again, pause.
Reevaluate.
There’s nothing to fear.
Bring it back to why you started in the first place.
It wasn’t out of fear
But out of passion.
Hope.
Deep down, those motivations are still there.
You just need to rediscover them.
Reignite them.
Change the narrative.
The feeling.
The story.
The outcome.
This despair you feel is temporary.
